Responsibilities:

• co-managing Pressflex's 50+ servers hosted at different providers
• continuous monitoring and maintenance of the running server applications
• planning the server architecture in cooperation with the development team
• liaising with the hosting providers
• 24/7 emergency covering
• keeping security procedures up-to-date

Skill requirements:

• strong grasp of computer security: break-in prevention, intursion detection etc.
• LAMP (Linux, Apache HTTP Server, MySQL, PHP)
• general system administration skills: server maintenance expertise etc.
• excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills
• scripting (bash, perl, etc.)
• iptables basics
• fluency in English with solid written communication skills
